Description
This is an original painting of a ‘Fox in the snow’ by Amy Letts. The common red fox (or urban fox) changes colour in winter to become more golden, but still stands out dramatically against the snow. Foxes are present in most woodland but can survive almost any environment, and urban foxes are much less afraid of humans. This beautiful animal is highly intellegent and adaptable.
Amy Letts, with her usual skill, captures the dazzling light of winter sunlight on snow. The fox meets the viewers gaze bravely, their shiny red coat contrasting with frosty blue scenery. Every glistening hair is painted so that you can almost feel what it would be like to touch.
