Description
Marylith is a fantasy painting in acrylics by artist Amy Letts. Inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, which itself draws on Hindu mythology, the Marylith is a multi-armed demon with the body of a snake. Demons in hindu mythology are frequently anthropomorphic.
Stylistically influenced by Vallejo & Bell, the background is sparse with and expansive, cloudy sky. The Marylith is a celebration of reds, with multiple pigments used to render the figure, giving it a truely demonic and terrifying outlook. The monster has six arms with a sword in every hand. The snake half is that of a rattle snake.
